Portraits: Personal Stories
Over the weekend, I was happy to put together some images for Ashleigh, an aspiring model. Her images do something all images should do- they communicate. They convey an intricate story, an emotion.
Those icy blue eyes draw the viewer into the image- like they would into a good conversation. So many portrait photographers ignore this important feature, in favor of other hollow distractions.
We took several images that day, and the overall turn out was quite good. These images say something about the model, each one a little story of its own. Her intensity, femininity, and natural beauty shine thorough each shot.
Its important that your portraits speak to you, and to others who view them. What does your portrait have to say?
